Ra In Ho was established in 1992 as a private firm and became a Stock Corporation in July 1999. Our manufacturing technologies come mainly from Germany and through our constantly developing R/D achievements. Highly skilled and experienced technicians produce the highest quality user-friendly heavy transportation systems.
Among our achievements, we are especially proud of the development of the first CAN STEERING SYSTEM for transporters in 1996/1997, the delivery of our first equipment (SSC 320 ton transporter) in 2001 to China, the development of a New Module Transporter System in 2004, the creation of a hydraulic driven Transfer Systems in the same year.
Increased orders in 2005 and 2006 led to the expansion into our second plant at the Gwangyang Free Economic Zone in Suncheon, Korea in 2007. We achieved a world record 43,200-ton Shiplift / Transfer System in 2009 that marked a new face inland shipbuilding. Currently the system has been upgraded to a total capacity of 52,800 ton, making it the largest of its kind in the world. Our next record was set by our ship engine carrier that uses our innovative technique within a compact size (only 22x7m) with a capacity of 800 ton which is currently being used by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. In recognition of our technical superiority, we were awarded prizes by the Minister of Knowledge and Economy in 2008 and again in 2012. In 2012 we also embarked on the development of an innovative environmentally friendly system for standard transporters, and most recently the development of a unique ground-breaking and fast caisson transfer system; the first of its kind in the world!
